Osman Ghazi was the founder and first ruler of the Ottoman Empire, which lasted from the late 13th century to the early 20th century. He was born in 1258 in what is now modern-day Turkey and was the son of Ertugrul Bey, the leader of the Kayi tribe. Osman Ghazi succeeded his father as the leader of the tribe and went on to establish a powerful state that would eventually become the Ottoman Empire. He is known for his military conquests and his role in expanding the empire's territory. Osman Ghazi died in 1324, but his legacy lived on through his successors and the Ottoman Empire's lasting impact on history.
